A patrol on site was able to note that the object actually corresponded to an explosive device, in particular it was identified as an offensive grenade of Polish origin, Obronny Wz31 containing an explosive charge, one of those used during the Spanish Civil War . , after cordoning off the area, he proceeded to activate the protocol for its destruction.
The same day, around 1 p.m., the device exploded in a controlled manner by the Explosive Ordnance Disposal Team of the Civil Guard.
The Civil Guard reminds that when we find objects suspected of being explosive, we must “refrain from handling them, because despite the time that may have passed since their manufacture, they retain their destructive power intact”.
