A statue of England captain Harry Kane has been prepared.
Oku.Az reports that the artwork commissioned a few years ago was completed and presented to the public.
Waltham Forest Council, north London, spent £7,200 on the statue in 2019-2020, but no permanent location has been found for it. A statue of the country’s top scorer sitting on a bench with a ball on his knee currently stands at the Peter May Sports Center in Walthamstow, London.
The 31-year-old forward, who went to the place where the statue is located for the opening ceremony, shared a photograph with it on his social network account and wrote that it was a moment of pride.
It should be noted that H. Kane scored a penalty in the 53rd minute of the match in which they defeated Ireland 5-0 on matchday V of the Nations League.
