Palma local police reported a 46 year old drunk driver At try to escape from the agents in the Santa Catalina neighborhood.
As reported by this police force in a press release, on October 12, at 5:45 p.m., officers from the Immediate Intervention Unit were alerted that a couple had sex in a car which was parked on Cotoner Street.
When they arrived, they observed a couple kissing inside a vehicle, the woman on top of the man, both in the driver’s seat. Noticing the presence of the police, the woman sat in the passenger seat.
Informed of the reason for the police presence, the man reacted in a provocative manner and the police noticed that he had obvious symptoms of being under the influence of alcoholic beverages and he even admitted to them that he had been drinking.
Due to his condition, officers asked him to get out of the vehicle so he could not drive in his condition. The man did ignoring instructions, started the vehicle and reversed leave the premises.
However, the police blocked his exit with the police van and gave him an alcohol test, with a positive result of 0.97 mg/l of alcohol in exhaled air. For these reasons, he was informed that he was under investigation but not detained for an alleged offense against road safety and he was summoned to appear in a speedy trial before the judicial authority.
