The National Directorate of Medicines, Food and Medical Technologies (AnMAT) prohibited the use, marketing and distribution of recognized hair products throughout the country after checking that this is illegal cosmetics, potentially dangerous to health.
This measure was formalized in accordance with the Regulation 4676/2025, published in the official newspaper, which described in detail that the products were sold without records required by current rules. Thus, his direct lag from all supermarkets, physical points of sale and online sales of the country were ordered.

What violations were found?
The complaint was obtained through the AMAT cosmetization system, which found that the products were sold without registration in various electronic channels. After consulting with the official database, “there were no products whose identification data correspond to the work on the label of the aforementioned cosmetics” warned this position.
In addition, it was indicated that the intervention was transferred to the monitoring and supervision of advertising and strengthening products that are subject to health monitoring for the management of all publications on sales.
Why do they represent health risk?
Anmat warned that unauthorized hair straightening may contain formaldehyde (formaldehyde) as a smooth active, prohibited ingredient that releases toxic pairs with harmful effects.
According to the body, “they can generate various adverse reactions after acute exposure, namely: irritation, redness, burning, skin objects and/or eyes, rupture, irritation in the throat, irritation of the nose, cough, its sensitivity and serious changes in its”.

Faced with the seriousness of the case, the Department of Domisanitarian, Cosmetics and Personal Hygiene took the following measures:
- Forbid the use, marketing, advertising, publication on sales and distribution platforms throughout the national territory of the Priscila Smoke brand products in all its presentations, lots, maturity and clean content.
- To inform the measure to all health authorities of the country and relevant jurisdictions in order to ensure the compliance of the resolution.
