A 77-year-old woman had a terrible fright when she arrived home in Valencia and saw that four people had attacked her. squatting. She heard a noise, caught them leaving and got scared. So she called the local police and had to be helped by several neighbors who confirmed that the person concerned had been living in the house continuously for years.
Finally, a patrol from the Proximity Police Station of the Valencian district of Benicalap was arrested four peopletwo women aged 19 and 29 and two men aged 20 and 30, for two alleged offences of theft and illegal entry into a house.
According to local police sources, the event took place on Sunday, September 15 at 9:40 a.m., when they received a call from several neighbors warning them that they had four people detained in a house located on the ground floor of José Grollo Street.
Once there, they questioned the applicant and owner of the house, a 77 year old lady who said that when he entered her house, he heard noises and then saw four people coming out. She always confirmed that this was her usual home, but “since she lives alone, she occasionally spends the night at a relative’s house.”
The patrol interviewed several neighbors who confirmed the victim’s version and indicated that she lived at the home continuously. “for many years” and that upon hearing noises they had seen these four people leave the house where the owner was also.
The fear was such that a neighbor had to help her because she was very scared when the officers entered the house, where they found that all the belongings were mixed up. The people currently detained said they forced the door with a screwdriver because they thought “it was not inhabited” and that once there, they spent several hours eating and drinking what was in the house. Subsequently, the complainant verified that he was missing 800 euros which he kept in his house.
