Employees of the Main Directorate of Customs for Air Transport of the State Customs Committee prevented the illegal shipment of dental implants and accessories from the customs border based on the operational information received.
Oku.Az reports that the State Customs Committee has released information on this matter.
It was reported that two citizens of the country, who arrived on the Rome-Baku flight, were directed to the “red channel” while leaving the customs area through the “green channel” and suspicious images were observed during the examination of their luggage with an X-ray device.
During the inspection, 471 dental implants and 149 dental implant accessories were found in their suitcases, which were not declared to customs authorities.
The incident is being investigated.
