All provinces are under yellow notice except Salamanca
The effects of DANA are already being felt this Thursday in almost all of Castile and León. The capital of Valladolid woke up to intense storms, forcing its neighbors to dust off their umbrellas. The scenario is repeated in almost all provinces, since with the exception of Salamanca, this August 29 they will be under yellow alert due to widespread showers in the area that could be accompanied by a storm, with very strong gusts of wind and hail. , according to forecasts from the State Meteorological Agency (AEMET).
Specifically, Ávila, Burgos, Segovia and Soria will be on alert this Thursday from 4:00 a.m. to 11:59 p.m., while in León, Palencia, Valladolid and Zamora the warnings will begin at 12:00 p.m. due to the forecast of alerts of precipitation of up to 15 milliliters in one hour.
A yellow storm warning indicates that severe storms are expected in the warning area. Given the nature of these events, it is possible that storms of greater intensity may occur occasionally.
