A biological laboratory will be established in Japan to study the deadliest pathogens, including the Ebola virus and Lassa fever.
Oku.Az The Kyodo agency reported on this.
It should be noted that the laboratory can still start working in test mode in December. It will be located at the University of Nagasaki, in the southeast of the country. Japan has a biosafety maximum level four (BSL-4) laboratory, but its activities are very limited: its work consists mainly of testing for contamination, not studying the pathogens themselves.
It should be noted that there are around 60 similar biological laboratories in the world.
