Thief who put socks on his hands to avoid leaving fingerprints arrested

The Civil Guard arrested the perpetrator of eight crimes of forceful theft and three crimes of damage to different houses and storage rooms in various locations in the Horta Nord region, in Valencia. Following complaints received regarding the theft of money, jewelry and various personal effects In homes and storage rooms, officers begin the investigation in order to identify and arrest the person responsible.

The detainee gained access to the interior of the houses and adjoining storage rooms to steal money, jewelry and all types of personal effects following the same modus operandi: leverage or with the sliding method, both for house doors and for garages or storage rooms. The value of the stolen items and cash amounts to 13,000 eurospart of the stolen jewelry was recovered and returned to its rightful owners.

The perpetrator was caught in the act by officers of the local Massamagrell police as he left one of the houses. He wore socks on his hands to avoid leaving fingerprints. and thus hinder the investigation. Among her belongings were some jewelry stolen from the home.

The detainee, a 50-year-old perpetrator of Spanish nationality, was arrested for eight offenses of theft with force and three of damages. The investigation benefited from the collaboration of the local Massamagrell police. The procedure was delivered to the Court of First Instance and Instruction number 3 of Massamagrell (Valencia).
