The explosion at the entrance to a residential building near Bonn in western Germany is the third such incident in the region since the beginning of the week.

The incident took place in the municipality of Wachtberg, bordering Bonn and part of the Cologne administrative area. According to preliminary information, it is a low-power explosive device. The search for the suspects has not yet yielded any results.
Police are not ruling out a connection between the incident and the explosions in Cologne this week. Law enforcement officials believe that Dutch organised crime groups involved in drug trafficking may be involved in the incidents.
