In an urgent act of solidarity, the Spanish NGO “Global Humanitaria” achieved a feat expected by thousands of people: 30 tons of food and medicine arrived to the most needy population of Khan Yunis, in the south of the Gaza Strip. The leader of this operation, Andrés Torres, chef and president of the organization, oversaw the logistics and the launch of the aid from Jordan.
“They check all the parachutes so that the whole load of food that they are going to launch can fall correctly without any problems,” Torres explained before the launch. Once authorized by the Israeli army, the team proceeded to delivery from a military aircraftand the containers, loaded with the hope of the people of Gaza, began their descent.
When you reach the ground, The people of Khan Yunis couldn’t believe their eyes. This operation was a relief for a population that lives on the margins, faced with a lack of essential resources.
