Following AEMET forecasts, it will be from Tuesday that we will start to see the alerts activate: “Locally heavy and/or persistent showers are likely and accompanied by storms in the west of the Canary Islands. Intervals of strong winds with very strong gusts on the Cantabrian coasts.
It will be a matter of starting to prepare for a change that will begin in this way: “The Canary Islands should remain under the influence of an isolated cold depression which, although it should tend to fill, will leave unstable weather with abundant cloudiness and showers accompanied by storms over the archipelago. Although with uncertainty, these phenomena should be more intense and abundant in the western islands, particularly on the western and southern slopes, and on the contrary less probable and occasional in the eastern islands. On the contrary, in the Peninsula and the Balearic Islands, anticyclonic weather is expected with light and abundant morning cloudiness which will generally tend to lift and become slightly cloudy. Only in the far north will it tend to increase due to the approach of a front, with the probability of leaving precipitation in Galicia and the Cantabrian area at the end, without excluding rain weak and scattered throughout the day, and which could appear in the form of snow in the Pyrenees at an altitude of around 2000 meters. Likewise, there is a possibility of light and occasional precipitation on the northeastern coast of Catalonia, the north-central mountains of the peninsula and some areas of Andalusia, with a greater probability in the Strait.
