When you live in unsafe situations, you often don’t have enough money to go to the dentist. To help the poorest, Julien Piechon wants to transform a bobil into a dentist.
Campssees are very practical vehicles to travel as they make it possible to travel roads while keeping the comfort of your accommodation. If Bobiles are mainly purchased to travel some people decide to do something else, like this woman who has Transformed his bobil into a charming house.
It is also possible to transform a truck or bobil to move more easily and help others. This volunteer firefighter, for example, created one lorry To help the homeless find a little hygiene. On his part, Julien Piechon, 27, had another idea to help people in unsafe situations. This dental surgeon, who trains in Boulogne-sur-Mer, decided to transform his bobil into a dentist.
Take care of the poorest
Julien Piechon’s goal is to create a “mobile dental clinic” to meet people in unsafe situations and treat them. The dentist had this idea of meeting people in this situation during his career career. In fact, once a week he goes to the duration of access to health care in Calais (Pass) to help them.
“It is a structure associated with the hospital and that treats people in unsafe situations, those who do not have an important card for example. But then the removal of the Calais jungle in 2016, all those in a migration situation, have spread along the coast. We are almost never confronted with them that they have no papers or others. France 3.
This is how Julien had the idea of creating her own mobile cabinet in a bobil. He would like to offer free care with prioritizing relief pain. In fact, if it will not be possible for him to produce implants or dentures, he can relieve his teeth.
“The goal would be to create a mobile dental clinic to meet them. Treating people in a migration situation, but also those excluded from health care. There are many people in uncertain and exclusion in North-Pas-de-Calais and all more in Boulonnais,” Julien told France 3.
An online kitty
To create this project, Julien needs 20,000 euros. For this he launched one Online Kitty. He already has the bobilen, but has to buy dental equipment, a custom chair, a water water system, a compressor and ensure the good sterilization of the vehicle. To finance his project, Julien launched an ambitious challenge: Cross the channel at La Swing. An event that would take place in June 2025 to help him raise money.
“This is an emblematic challenge compared to the migration crisis. It represents 15 hours of swimming in 13 degrees. I had never swam before, it is interesting this aspect of surpassing itself,” he explained.
If all goes well, Julien’s mobile dental clinic should open its doors next October. If this dentist has decided to help insecure people this is also the case for a veterinarian who has created a Coring truck to treat dogs free homeless.
