When the patient’s stomach was opened, the doctor was surprised. The eel is still alive, visible between his vital organs. In the same way, it perforated all layers of the intestines, so the “swimming” is free in the abdominal cavity, which, of course, is very dangerous, because it can cause a serious infection.
The doctor acted immediately. Using the clamp, they managed to remove the eel, then close the gap in the large intestine (precisely in the sigmoid colon) and rinse the abdominal cavity with sterile saline solution to minimize the risk of further infection.
