What happened a few months ago in Criminal Court number 6 of Alcalá de Henares is unprecedented. A video of a defendant self-harming, banging his head against the wall while a witness gave a statement, is spreading like wildfire on various social networks. Apparently it is “El Chalao,” according to El Confidencial. Without saying a word, the man caused a most surreal situation during a court hearing. However, it was not only the behavior of one of the accused – “El Gordo” was also present in the room – that surprised viewers. A fight between the prosecutor and the lawyer handling the case caused a very tense moment.
The video begins with a discussion between these two professionals while the witness stands to give a statement. “My judicial independence and my professionalism must not be called into question, let this be recorded in the proceedings, in the 44th minute of the trial,” the prosecutor criticizes the lawyer. In the midst of this little chaos, “El Chalao”, unfettered, took the opportunity to get up from the bench and run against the wall, crushing his head on it and remaining completely lying on the ground.
The scene frightens and surprises those present. The witness quickly moves away from the accused who has just self-harmed. “I want to get out of here,” she is heard saying while walking away from the microphone where she was making her statements. “What is he doing?” he asks himself, stunned by what someone in the room has just seen.
Immediately, the judge and the prosecutor asked to notify the court security officers to take care of the injured man lying on the ground: “Please call security immediately. » At the same time, the lawyer begins to clash with professionals again. “Please sit down,” he is heard saying.
All this happens while the other accused, “El Gordo”, who seems to remain motionless for a few moments, sitting on the bench, gets up to inquire about the state of the victim, stunned on the ground. A few seconds later, several members of court security appear in the small room where chaos reigns.
As El Confidencial learned, Estefanía PS and Luis MJ were attacked by the accused – José Manuel IL, alias “El Gordo” and Víctor Manuel AF, alias “El Chalao” – in May. Apparently, the victims reached an agreement with the accused, but the prosecution decided to continue charging both accused. The trial, which took place this summer in the city of Madrid, ended without conviction for the two accused, “El Chalao” and “El Gordo”.
