Israeli soldiers from Israel Defense Forces fighter jets destroyed over a 20-minute period this Friday more than 1,000 rockets from Lebanese terrorist group Hezbollahready to attack homes, schools and hospitals in northern Israel. In total, about 100 rocket launchers and other military infrastructure were attacked, including the 1,000 rockets ready for immediate launch, as previously reported. The move comes after Israel reported thousands of ‘you are looking for’ (pagersin English) last Tuesday, that terrorists use to communicatein a two day operation in which at least 30 Hezbollah terrorists were killed and thousands of members of the group were injured.
This operation is Israel’s largest attack on Hezbollah since the massacre of the Hamas terrorist group in Israel on October 7. This came after Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant announced that Israeli troops had begun withdrawing from the southern Gaza Strip toward northern Israel, bordering southern Lebanon, where the Iranian-armed Shiite terrorist group Hezbollah is located and is considered the most heavily armed terrorist group in the world.
After the attacks, the Israeli soldiers issued a list of directives for civilians in several communities and towns in northern Israel, ordering them to stay near bomb shelters (Merom HaGalil Regional Council, Upper Galilee Regional Council, Mevo’ot HaHermon Regional Council, Yesud HaMa’ala, Hatzor, Rosh Pina, Safed, Metula and the towns in the Golan Heights from Katzrin northward).
The leader of the terrorist group Hezbollah, Hassan Nasrallahresponded with a speech in which he threatened Israel and challenged it to attack: “We are waiting for you to enter Lebanese territory. We are waiting for your tanks and we will see this as a historic opportunity.”

Who is Ibrahim Aqil?
In the 1980s, Aqil was a leading member of the Islamic Jihad terrorist group, the Hezbollah terrorist cell, which later claimed responsibility for the attacks on the U.S. Embassy in Beirut in April 1983. In this attack, 63 people were murdered.
The United States Department of State included Ibrahim Aqil is a list of global terrorists in 2019 due to his involvement in several terrorist plots, including the kidnapping of officials in the 1980s.
