In the streets of the center of Paiporta, last Tuesday, two Escorts of the king who are agents of the Civil Guard, rescued a woman who was locked in the ground floor where she had been living since the flood.
In an operation that lasted just over two hours, they managed to get her out of her house and carry her manually through the narrow street – full of unnecessary furniture and household items – to an ambulance.
The same day, on the outskirts of the city, two other agents of the Civil Guard, also escorts of the Royal Family, directed traffic in a difficult to access areanear the forward command post from where emergencies are coordinated by DANA, located at the Texako gas station.
These escorts are part of the 48 agents of the Security Service of the King’s Housewhich make up the system of the Civil Guard of Valencia. Among them are 6 divers, 2 guide dogs and 4 drone pilots, with 14 all-terrain vehicles, two equipment transport vans, two dogs and two drones.
When Felipe VI instructed the Security Service of his House and the Royal Guard to place all the necessary troops at the disposal of the Ministry of the Interior and Ministry of Defense To collaborate in the tasks carried out by the State Security Forces and Agencies and by the UME in the areas affected by DANA, the 48 bodyguards of the Civil Guard were the first to arrive in Valencia.

A few days later, and gradually, a contingent of 195 soldiers of the Royal Guard was incorporated, who worked mainly in Useful, Chiva and Picaña. The four established maneuver sections work in 24-hour shifts under the tactical command of the UME, the highest army responsible for the emergency in the Valencian Community.
Until now, both the bodyguards of the King’s Civil Guard and the members of the Royal Guard have carried out very varied missionswhich meet the needs of every moment. They were seen inspecting garages, dedicated to cleaning and disinfecting streets, and removing personal belongings from homes and garages. Also in functions of strengthening security and night surveillance of certain areas.
All are participating in the tasks of aid and support to the Valencian people, victims of the greatest natural disaster that Spain has experienced in a century.
