This is the moving video with which the Valencia firefighters summarize their work during DANA: “You are not alone”

Nearly two weeks after devastating floods DANA in 70 municipalities in the province of Valenceemergency teams and security forces continue work in the field to try to get back to normal as quickly as possible.

The video brings together some of the multiple actions carried out by the Valencia firefighters in the affected municipalities, such as cleaning work in garages, searching for missing people or providing provisions, food and masks for the protection of affected people and volunteers.

Furthermore, in the publication that they shared on social networks via their X account, they emphasize that each action and each rescue pursues the objective of “return to normality in Valencia and the rest of the affected municipalities“.

Screaming “you are not alone“, the Valencia firefighters, like many other military, security forces or health personnel, continue the work of cleaning and caring for citizens in the municipalities.

Concerning the troops working in the province of Valencia, the government has mobilized 8,495 soldiersof which 2,103 belong to the Military Emergency Unit (UME), and include 22 psychologists and two psychiatrists, eight more than until this Saturday.

They also moved altogether 2,071 land, air and water vehicles specialized, among others: 12 helicopters, 107 engineering machines, 1,790 intervention and transport vehicles, 32 drones (two more than this Saturday), 41 ambulances (five more than yesterday), the Ship Galiciatwo minehunters and 18 boats; in addition to 22 search dogs.

They have also been delivered so far 179,950 liters of water delivered and 36,000 kilos of food rations to the victims, as highlighted by the Executive.

In addition, 20,500 hygiene products were delivered and 531 garages and basements were inspected, four more than observed until last Saturday.

Finally, they are 9,728 agents of state security forces and agencies deployed in the areas most affected by DANA: 4,438 national police officers, 5,290 civil guards and eight psychologists.

More than 1,600 vehicles were also present, as well as a plane, ten helicopters, 85 drones, ten boats and 23 buses. Additionally, 2,599 cars and trucks were taken off the roads.

Another of the current points of the effects of DANA in Valencia is the request for aid of 6,000 euros offered by the Generalitat for those affected by the floods.

In this sense, the vice-president And advise Social Services, Equality and Housing, Suzanne Camarero, indicated that the total number of requests amounts to 15,360 and they hope to receive many more in the coming days.

“We will continue to be grateful for what is to come without ceasing to ask for what neighbors neednot the Generalitat. We will see if what Pedro Sánchez announces corresponds to the needs of the neighbors or if we need to influence certain aspects,” Camarero warned.

It should be remembered that since the Generalitat it has been quantified in more than 30,000 million euros the need for public funds to mitigate the consequences of DANA.
