Pedro Sánchez pledged this Thursday to help “by land, sea and air, for the time necessary and with all resources” to all those affected by the DANA which is hitting eastern Spain. The President of the Government, who once again gives importance to the “public”, asks all citizens of the affected areas, in particular Castellón and Valencia, to do not leave your home and follow the recommendations emergency teams: “Right now, the most important thing is to save as many lives as possible,” he said.

In this sense, he offered to the Generalitat Valenciana the “collaboration and cooperation” of all delegations and sub-delegations of the Government, in addition to that of all the ministries concerned “to provide tranquility, security and answers”. “Any resource you need, the Spanish government is there,” he said.

Sánchez arrived at 10:30 a.m. Integrated Operational Coordination Center (Cecopi) of the Valencian Community, from which emergency interventions in the areas affected by DANA are coordinated and which is located in the town of La Eliana (Valencia). On his return to the capital, around 4 p.m., he will be responsible for chairing the second meeting of the crisis committee to monitor the effects of the storm.

The head of the Executive was accompanied to Valencia by the Minister of Science, Innovation and Universities, Diana Morant, the Valencian President, the popular Carlos Mazón, and the government delegate in the region, Pilar Bernabé.

Mazón had already met the president of his party, the PP. Alberto Nuñez Feijóo He also visited this Thursday morning the same facilities as the President of the Government after the DANA disaster, which has already cost the lives of almost a hundred people in the territories of the Valencian Community and Castile-La Mancha. From there, he criticized the action of the Central Executive, which he accuses of not having informed the main opposition party of anything in the last 48 hours: “A national emergency needs collaboration. “I have no information from the Government. It was me who had to find out,” he denounced.

On Wednesday afternoon, the opposition leader was also in Letur (Albacete) in the company of the Castilian-Manchego president, Emiliano García-Pageto whom he offered the “loyal help” of the PP to face this tragedy.
