November 11 is Saint Martin’s Daya time when warmth is generally expected to return after the cold with a veranillo named after this saint. The time will therefore have come to start thinking about what awaits us, taking into account a series of details that can be fundamental. Without a doubt, we are facing a situation that could end up making a difference in all respects.
This moment will have arrived when we will have to see what the weather has in store for us, to be aware of a forecast which may be the one which marks a before and an after. We will therefore have to be aware of a sky which can be decisive and which in a certain way will end up being the one which will make the difference. We look at the sky and we never stop visualizing this transformation which will ultimately be the one which will become expert in these days which are still to come and which can be decisive. The time has come to put the AEMET weather forecasts on the table for these days.
San Martín summer is already here
We will start this week with a look at a San Martín summer which can give us a series of unexpected details which can mark a before and an after. Now will be the time to start thinking about all that awaits us in the days ahead.
Now will be the time to start visualizing this change in weather that we would like to see happen. In theory, we expect the heat, in this kind of summer which brings good weather. But be careful, after a few days where anything is possible, it will be time to visualize what awaits us.
We will have to see this summer from San Martín perhaps the opposite, instead of seeing the heat coming, perhaps we will be closer to the cold than expected. It’s time to look a little further and do so by looking to the sky and a change that we could begin to change. From the summer of San Miguel we could move on to a “winter” that will almost plunge us into the worst of this season. Here is the weather forecast for these days.
This is what awaits us for the cold these days
The arrival of a significant weather change can end up being one that marks a before and after, accompanied by a change that can be decisive. The experts at El Tiempo have no doubt about what awaits us, a changing situation that can take us away from what would be usual.
The weather maps leave no doubt: “For this weekend, temperatures should gradually decrease across the country. This drop will be more pronounced in minimum temperatures than in maximum temperatures, with the exception of the Cantabrian coast where maximum temperatures will drop significantly. Thus, on Saturday we could talk about maximum temperatures below 20ºC throughout the northern half of the country and in the central areas.. Burgos, for example, would be around 14ºC maximum. In the south and east of the country, they would still reach 20ºC, exceeding them in specific places, such as Seville, which will experience maximums above 21ºC. In the Canary Islands the situation will be different. There, temperatures will be higher, approaching or exceeding 30ºC in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and Santa Cruz de Tenerife.
Continuing with the same forecast: “Sunday will be a similar day in terms of maximums, with a slight decrease in the southeastern areas of the country and some local increases in the west and north. However, the most notable thing about this day will be the drop in minimum temperatures in a large part of the country. With the exception of the extreme northwest (Galicia, part of Castile and León and western Asturias), where temperatures will increase up to 5ºC or 6ºC, in the rest there will be a marked drop, which will will be around 3ºC to 4ºC in almost all areas. Thus, minimum temperatures will be below 5ºC in cities like Soria, León or Burgos. They will also be below 10ºC in Castile-La Mancha, Madrid, Extremadura or Aragon, among others. Locally, the first frosts should occur outside high mountain areas. In the rest of the country, minimum temperatures will generally be between 10ºC and 15ºC, so we will be talking about a cooler environment from the morning. Monday, St. Martin’s Day, no notable change is expected in the maxima, being very similar to those of Sunday. Minimum temperatures will increase slightly in inland areas due to increased cloudiness and wind, but will continue to be cool.
