Barcelona – The Spanish National Court began a criminal investigation of the Prime Minister of Israel Benjamin Netanyahu, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Israel Katz and several high -ranking military officials. They are suspected that they are involved in war crimes and crimes against humanity, especially Israeli’s attack last month against humanitarian assistance ships.

The investigation was focused on the attack on June 1 on Madlin, a ship that was heading for gas, said European deputies from Spain Zhaum Ansens to X.

The ship, which brought 12 international activists and humanitarian aid, was intercepted by Israeli forces in international waters. Among those who were detained, there were Swedish climatic activists of Greta Tunberg and French Palestinian human rights defenders Rome Hassan.

Anadol reported, the case was presented on the basis of the principle of universal jurisdiction by Spanish citizens Sergio Toribio and the Committee on Solidarity with the Arab Struggle.

The case was accused of the fact that Israeli troops used unmanned aircraft, tear gas and the illegal detention of civilians in that it described as part of a wider scheme of violation associated with the continuing conflict in the gas.

The court decision required cooperation with the International Criminal Court (MUS) and created an attack in the context of Genocide in Gaza.
