He San Juan de Dios Hospital Pamplona-Tudela organized for this Thursday a ‘Hotel solidarity concert‘, which will be performed by Orfeón Pamplonés at the Gayarre Theater.
Last year, the San Juan de Dios Hospital Pamplona-Tudela He gave 620 music therapy sessions to more than 200 patients “in whom significant improvements were observed in different aspects of their health and well-being.”
With the aim that “the benefits of Music therapy can reach more patients every day“, the hospital, with the collaboration of Orfeón Pamplonés, organized the ‘Hospital Solidarity Concert’.
The hearing will take place on Thursday October 31. at 8:00 p.m. at the Gayarre Theater in Pamplona. The profits obtained will be used to promote the Hospital music therapy program, which currently benefits from the support of the “la Caixa” Foundation.
In a retrospective study carried out from HSJD Pamplona Psychology Service “It was possible to conclude in around a hundred patients studied that music therapy improved – in more than 70% of cases – the relationship with the environment, the ease of expression, the memory of shared history and the break with hospital routine.”
CONCERT REPERTOIRE
The concert consists of a first part of classic works by Haydn, Schumann, Berlioz and Montes which are part of the choir’s usual repertoire. In the second half of the concert, the Orfeón will be accompanied by its Youth Choir with which it will perform well-known works such as fragments of Carmina Burana and popular operas and zarzuelas.
The concert was sponsored by Laboral Kutxa, Adentro Construimos, Construcciones Erro y Eugui and the Sancho Ramírez Hotel.
