On the occasion of the celebration of October 9À Punt has prepared an extensive special programming to broadcast live the most important events of Valencian Community Day. Public radio and television are dedicated to broadcasting, through all its windows, the most important celebrations that will take place in Alicante, Castellón and Valencia.
The special programming begins this Monday with a current report from ‘Zoom’ (10:45 p.m.) on the most famous Valencian topics. Arturo Valls, Ricardo Ten, Mateu Lahoz, Rosita Amores and Paco Nadal participate in this program.
In addition, this Tuesday, À Punt will broadcast live from Alicante, from noon, the institutional ceremony of handing over the Generalitat Literature Prize and Distinction for Cultural Meritwhich for the first time is not celebrated in Valencia. An event that will be offered as part of the magazine ‘Bon dia Comunitat Valenciana’ presented by Ximo Rovira and Gemma Juan.
Demonstration in Palau and civic procession
The special program “Nou d’Octubre” starts Wednesday at 8 a.m. on radio and television with “Les notícies del matí”. The program team will inform us in the morning about the progress of preparations for the day’s celebration.
From 9:45 a.m. to 2 p.m., Marta Ventura will host a special program with comments from historian Vicent Baydal from an incomparable setting: the terrace of Valencia Cathedral, with a breathtaking view of the Plaza de la Virgen. At 10 a.m. the live broadcast of the Institutional Ceremony of High Distinctions on October 9 will begin, which will take place from the Salon de Corts of the Palau de la Generalitat.
Then, at 11:15 a.m., we will be able to attend the civic procession of the Real Senyera in the streets of the city of Valencia and at the entrance to the Cathedral to celebrate the Té Deum.
Throughout the program, Marta Ventura will talk with the protagonists of the day and connect with Alicante, Castellón, Alcoy, El Campello and Burriana to show the party atmosphere and know the events they have organized at the occasion of this October 9.
Also the Radio In Punt offers special programming, from 9:45 a.m. to 12 p.m., in a space hosted by Clara Castelló. In this program we will listen to the presentation of the high distinctions of the Generalitat and we will also delve into the history and traditions that surround the Valencian Community Day, both in the “cap i casal” and in the rest of our community .
Sergi Olcina, with the show ‘El rall’, will take over on the radio from noon to 2 p.m., to continue the information. À Punt’s information services will be present at events and in the streets throughout the Valencian Community to offer all the information in the editions at eight in the morning, at 2 p.m. and at 9 p.m.
A special ‘Live Live’ in the afternoon
The program ‘Live’presented by Àlex Blanquer, will begin at 6:30 p.m. and end at 9 p.m. This magazine will travel with live connections the events organized in the cities of Valencia, Alicante and Castellón as well as in other places in the Valencian Community.
Concretely, live connections will be established or reports will be broadcast on festivals, such as the Moors and Christians of Valencia and Albaida, the Cercaviles of Banyeres, the Paellas Multitudinarias of Muro, the Folklore Festival of Alcora or the Petrer correfocs. We will also tell about the events of Senyera in Paiporta, we will ride a hot air balloon in Cullera and visit a very famous pastry shop in Puçol.
In this space we will also review the traditions, anecdotes and gastronomic customs of the Nou d’Octubre, the Valencian lovers’ festival, when we celebrate the Mocadorà Festival.
On the radio In Punt, the program ‘Podríem fer-ho millor’ It is also expanding its hours and will be broadcast live from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Susa Calafat and her team will be present at the most important points to tell us all the news of the day. Additionally, all interviews and content will revolve around the significance of this historic date.
Firsts
At 10:45 p.m., À Punt will present the film in preview ‘Forget’a thriller in which Valencian radio and television participated and which takes place during the Valencia flood of 1957. It is directed by Inés París with a screenplay by Fermín Palacios.
The other first will be the podcast ‘1238, the conquest of Valencia’an exciting journey through the history of the conquest and creation of the Kingdom of Valencia in the time of James I.
On the 9th at seven in the morning, the first of the seven episodes will be available on the À Punt Podcast platform and at 3 p.m. it will be broadcast on the radio as part of the program “Podríem fer-ho millor”, which will present the podcast and the interview with Vicent Baydal (author of the screenplay, narration and editorial direction).
