On 10, 2024, 15 collisions occurred as a result of people or cars suddenly overtaking a train on the roads of Azerbaijan Railways (ADY), resulting in 5 injuries and 11 deaths.
Oku.Az informs that ADY has published information in this regard.
It was reported that most accidents on railway tracks occur due to the carelessness of pedestrians and drivers:
“The ADY carries out educational work in the schools located around the railway line and holds meetings with neighbors to prevent accidents.
It also carries out road diagnostics with modern equipment, increases warning signs at crossings and places educational signs in areas near railway tracks.
It should be noted that approximately 1.3 million people die each year in traffic accidents in the world. Between 7,000 and 10,000 people lose their lives in railway accidents.
