The Government begins rolling out relief measures after the DANA disaster in affected areas. One day after its announcement, Moncloa establishes the criteria, deadlines and access routes to request the aid, guarantees and compensation included in the first part of the Response Plan approved last Tuesday by the Council of Ministers. The text, published yesterday by the BOE, includes the details of the royal decree of 10.6 billion euros of immediate application.

Direct aid to households

The support network provided for in the plan for those affected establishes direct aid of up to 72,000 euros in the event of death and disability directly caused by the events highlighted on October 29. It also provides compensation of between 20,000 and 60,000 euros for the repair or rehabilitation of housing, 10,320 euros to replace damaged or destroyed furniture or goods, or even 36,896 euros to repair the common areas of neighborhood communities.

Those affected will be able to start asking for help today in three ways: by contacting the government sub-delegation in Valencia, the offices that the Generalitat has authorized or via the electronic headquarters of the Ministry of Interior. They will be asked for a document proving ownership of the accommodation or property concerned, such as the IBI payment receipt, or any other similar document. The deadline for claiming compensation is two months.

Businesses and independents

Companies – around 30,000 – will be able to access aid which varies between 10,000 euros, for companies whose volume of operations is less than one million euros, to 150,000 euros, to which those whose figure is less than one million euros will be able to access. greater than 10. million. ICO Credits

La Moncloa will mobilize 5 billion euros in guarantees which will be managed by the ICO and intended for households, businesses and self-employed people with their tax domicile in one of the areas concerned. Its validity will be extended until December 31, 2025, although the period may be extended by agreement of the Council of Ministers.

The text allows companies or individuals benefiting from a real estate loan or a consumer loan to postpone their full repayment by three months, and to pay only the interest for an additional nine months.
