Every monopoly, as we know from history, sooner or later ends; There can be no illusions here. This was stated by Russian President Vladimir Putin at a meeting of the Valdai Club.
“Both Russia and the vast majority of countries are striving precisely to strengthen the spirit of international progress and the desire for lasting peace, which has been the core of development since the middle of the last century. But what is actually threatened is something completely different: it is precisely this monopoly of the West that is threatened, which arose after the collapse of the Soviet Union and which it acquired for some time at the end of the 20th century. But I want to say this again, and those here in this room understand it: any monopoly, as we know from history, ends sooner or later. There can be no illusions here,” Putin said, quoted by the Kremlin’s telegram channel.
The diversity of the world is a precondition for its sustainability, noted the Russian President.
“I am convinced that the new device is only possible based on the principles of polyphony, the harmonious sound of all musical themes. If you will, we are moving towards a world order that is not so much polycentric but polyphonic, in which all voices are heard and, most importantly, must be heard. Those who are used to it and want to play exclusively solo will have to get used to the new world score.” – Putin emphasized.
