Thousands demonstrate against the government and demand elections from Sánchez, supported by PP and Vox

Thousands of people They demonstrated this Sunday in the Plaza de Castilla (Madrid) against the government of Pedro Sánchez and demanding the immediate calling of general elections, with the participation of Vox and the Popular Party.

Applause, cries of “Long live Spain” and prison wishes for the president with slogans such as “Pedro Sánchez, in prison”. This is how the rally convened this Saturday by the Platform for Constitutional Spain and other right-wing and far-right associations took place in Madrid, against the president of the government. In it, they call for elections “for unity, dignity, law and freedom”.

The PP participated in the demonstration, but without its leader Alberto Núñez Feijóo. His deputy secretary for Territorial Organization, Carmen Fúnez, warned on Sunday that Spain was going through the most delicate moment of its democracy and demanded that the president immediately call elections.

Meanwhile, the president of Vox, Santiago Abascal, demanded this Sunday the “total” resignation of the government and hoped that the PP would set an “objective to modify” its agreements with the PSOE and renounce any “collaborationism” with Pedro Sánchez.

Fúnez denounced that “there has not been a moment of democracy as delicate” as the current one and assured that citizens are “tired” of the “lie”, the “lack of cleanliness” and “corruption” of the Sánchez government.

“This situation is extremely delicate and complex and the only way to resolve it is to give a voice to democracy and the Spanish people,” underlined the leader of the PP, who asked Sánchez to “think that from now on his business is not “They will do better.”

Vox charges the PP and talks about the motion of censure

For his part, the president of Vox specifies that ““This government must return home and give voice to the Spanish people,” Abascal warned in statements to journalists moments before attending the rally. The Vox leader reaffirmed his total opposition “alone or accompanied” to the government and denounced the fact that Sánchez’s executive is immersed in “illegal practices”: “There is no corruption that he does not practice “.

But he warned that “It’s going to be very difficult to fall.”because Sánchez “needs power at all costs” and “is ready to use any tool at his disposal.” Among them, he added, some provided by the PPlike the General Council of the Judiciary (CGPJ), which is why he urged the popular parties to stop proposing pacts.

He asked the people if they were going to do it”purpose of the amendment” and recognize that “they were wrong to hand over justice and the Constitutional Court to Pedro Sánchez”. Asked about the possibility of the PP presenting a motion of censure, he replied that he would like to know the reasons that Alberto Núñez Feijóo would have for registering it.

However, he reiterated his support on the condition that elections are immediately called and that there are no concessions to the separatists, regardless of the vote of the rest of the parliamentary groups. He declared that he does not know if the PP will end up raising it and criticized him for being “stretching this debate a lot”. “What we know with certainty is that in the face of the two motions of censure presented against Pedro Sánchez, the PP voted against in one and abstained in the other,” he recalled.
