Foreign Minister Israel Katz sent letters to dozens of foreign ministers asking them to support Israel in the fight against Hezbollah, Iran and their supporters. Foreign Minister Katz stressed that Israel is exercising its right to self-defense and that Israel is not interested in an all-out war.

The New York Times reported that Israel’s preemptive strikes against Hezbollah targets in southern Lebanon targeted launchers scheduled to fire projectiles toward Tel Aviv at 5 a.m.
Israel carried out the attacks at around 4:45 a.m.

Educational institutions and workplaces may open if there is a suitable shelter nearby that can be reached in time.
Gathering restrictions will be introduced: up to 30 people outdoors and up to 300 people indoors.
Beaches are also closed near the border with Lebanon.
