Three earthquakes occurred in the Kemerovo region last night, the Baza telegram channel reported.
The first tremors began at midnight on September 20. According to the Altai-Sayan branch of the Unified Geophysical Service of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the magnitude of the earthquake was 4.6 points, while the intensity at the epicenter reached 5.8 points.
“As a result of the earthquake, a huge crater in Old Sheregesh became even larger and deeper. Local residents write on social media that they felt several tremors, some report that the earthquake was accompanied by a rumble. In the houses affected by the disaster area, plaster cracked and tiles collapsed. The roof covering of the Sheregesh House of Culture was damaged.” – writes TK.
Rescue teams are currently working within a 50-kilometer radius of the epicenter. They are inspecting the area and residential areas for damage.
