Speaking at the meeting, the president of the College, Anar Bagirov, reported on the current activities of the Presidium.
According to the agenda of the meeting, the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev 8 ARVK members appointed judges by order of November 19, 2024: Samir Bayramov, Teymur Hasanov, Elshan Huseynov, Taghi Ganbarov, Shafiga Sheybullayeva, Gunel Mammadova, Ramzi Nabiyev and Agil Nuriyev were considered and a positive decision was made.
Then, the appeals of some lawyers related to the suspension of legal activity and its remuneration, cessation of legal activity with their own requests, exemption from payment of membership fees for a certain period, financial assistance, as well as cancellation of debts, transfer to Other legal organizations were considered and relevant decisions were made.
At the same time, the issue of financial support for the 10th and 14th editions of the “Simulation of the European Court of Human Rights” organized by the Azerbaijan representation of the European Law Students Association (ELSA) was discussed. , and a positive decision was made.
Following the meeting, the opinions of the Lawyers Disciplinary Commission were reviewed and the Presidium warned 5 lawyers for disciplinary offenses, reprimanded 4 lawyers, suspended the activity of 2 lawyers for a certain period of time and issued a decision. ask the court to suspend the activity of 1 lawyer and expel him from membership in the ARVK.
