Today, the police managed to close the loop and solve the case thanks to the arrest of three men, all linked to organized crimeIn France. Together, they managed to shoot the victim twice, who was in a restaurant in Marbella.
The detainees have 23, 26 and 28 years old. The victim fled after being shot and, although it may seem like a miracle, he emerged unscathed from this episode of violence. The perpetrators of the shooting were arrested thanks to the collaboration of the French authorities, in application of European arrest and surrender orders for the assassination attempt, according to police sources.
The facts occurred on July 18, 2023, around 5:45 p.m., on United Nations Avenue, in Marbella. According to investigations by the National Police, two men wearing balaclavas broke into a local restaurant, one of them armed with a machine gun, and opened fire on the guests seated at one of the establishment’s tables. The target was a member of another organized crime gang.
The attackers fled in a vehicle found on fire the same afternoon of the shooting in Pleyades Street in Marbellawhich also caused a forest fire that affected 1.47 hectares of forest and which led to the activation of several Firefighter signals.
