Three people have died as a result of an accident in the Tselinny region of Kalmykia, the press service of the Russian Interior Ministry for the republic reported.
The incident occurred at kilometer 249 of the federal highway R-22 “Caspian”.
“There was a collision between a VAZ-2115 car driven by a 57-year-old resident of Elista and a Toyota Camry driven by a 44-year-old local resident. As a result of the accident, the driver and two passengers of the VAZ-2115 vehicle died on the spot from their injuries, the report said.
The driver and passenger of the Toyota were injured and hospitalized.
A police investigation team is working at the scene to establish the causes and circumstances of the incident.
