YouTube is the video platform par excellence, there are almost countless videos that exist in the application and there are times when we have liked one of these videos so much, we have found it so useful or we want to take it to complement our own content that we have to download it.

The problem is that Google, the owner of this platform, does not want this to happen and that is why there is no tool to download videos from YouTube, nor are there applications in the PlayStore that do it. However, this does not mean that it cannot be done, in fact, there are several applications and services that have been designed for this and that is why today we are going to teach you how to use three of them.

What these platforms have in common is that they are free and quite fast when it comes to downloading videos from YouTube.

Clip Converter

The first of the tools we are going to talk about today is ClipConverter, Although its appearance is somewhat outdated, it works very efficiently on computers, tablets and smartphones.

To download a video we must follow these steps:

1. Open the ClipConverter website
2. Copy and paste the address of the video we want to download into the Media Address section.
3. Choose format and conversion options.
4. Click Continue and wait for the conversion to complete and you will be able to download the video.

You can choose between different formats and sizes, in the vast majority of videos it is better to select the default options.

Youzik

In case, for whatever reason, the first option has not convinced you, the Youzik website can also be another viable option. The truth is that its operation is almost identical to ClipConverter with the difference that it has fewer options to choose from when it comes to formats.

Its operation is as follows:

1. Go to the Youzik page.
2. Copy and paste the URL of the video we want to download into the search bar.
3. Choose if we want the download in MP4 or MP3, since we want the video we will have to select the MP4 option.
4. The next thing is to click on Download MP4 and the video will start downloading.

Download via VLC

The next and last option may seem the most complicated of all, but we are going to explain it to you so that, with this application, which the vast majority have on their computer, you can download a YouTube video in a few simple steps.

The application in question is VLC Media Playerand if you have ever downloaded and watched a video on your computer, you have probably watched it from this application, because It comes pre-installed on most PC devices.

To download a video we need to:

1. Copy the URL of the video we want to capture and open the VLC application.
2. In the app, go to the Media tab and look for the Open Network Location option.
3. Copy the URL of the video you want to download into the search bar that appears.
4. When the video opens, click the Tools tab and then click Media Info.
5. Here we just need to copy the Place link and paste it into our browser.
6. The video will open in the new tab, we will have to press the right mouse button and choose the option Save video as…

And so we can save the YouTube video in a folder. This is possible because you have deleted the video from the platform and therefore it no longer benefits from the download protections of this application.

There are three ways to download and save a video that was on YouTube for whatever use you want.
