The local authorities of the French capital, Paris, raised more than a century to swim in the hay, allowing its inhabitants and tourists to swim in it, starting from today (Saturday).

The authorities in Paris created 3 external pools: the first opposite of P, next to the Eiffel Tower, the second near the Cathedral of Notre Dame and the Third opposite the French National Library.

The mayor of Paris Ann Hidalgo said that the pools are an attempt to improve the quality of life in the French capital in the light of the expected increase in temperature in the summer of climate change.

The statement published by the city said that the basins include locker rooms and will be controlled by rescuers, and also provide a place for sunbathing. The entrance is free for a maximum, but only for people who can swim. Pools will be open throughout the summer.

The statement added that the water quality will be controlled continuously, since swimmers will dive directly into the river water.

“Everyone should be able to swim in hay, starting from this summer,” said Minister of French Sports Mary Parsak when this step was declared last May.
