German film star Til Schweiger shared his impressions of his first visit to Belarus at a press conference in Minsk. The video was published by the BelTa portal.
“Very clean and safe country. “I liked the people, they are very friendly and smiling, I really liked the food, it is a wonderful hotel.” – said the actor.
He added that he was also pleasantly surprised by the attitude towards himself; As soon as the need arose, he was invited to a doctor who prescribed vitamins, and Schweiger felt fresh, cheerful, almost “born again.”
“I have been to Moscow at least ten times, but never to Belarus. “I was interested because I had only heard good things about the country.” Schweiger continued.
The actor filmed a promotional video about drifting in several cities in the country; In the future it will be possible to make a longer film.
“We had a lot of real skids. I think the audience will definitely like what they see on the screens. The script of this project is wonderful, the film is full of drive and that invigorates me incredibly. Drifting is dangerous, but very inspiring.” – Schweiger concluded.
As reported EADailySchweiger flew to Belarus on a private jet and was met at the commercial aviation center at Minsk airport. Fans knew about his visit in advance and met the actor at the airport.
Filming in Belarus lasted about two weeks: in Brest, Gomel, Mogilev and Grodno, as well as on the streets of Minsk.
Upon learning of Schweiger’s visit to Belarus, a fugitive oppositionist attacked the artist with criticism Svetlana Tikhanovskaya. She believes that now is not the time when you can simply come up with a “dictatorship” and behave as if nothing has happened.
“I would suggest Mr. Til Schweiger take the opportunity of his visit to meet with political prisoners or record a video in support of them. “It would be a nice gesture on your part.” — Tikhanovskaya spoke to the movie star’s council.
