Songwriter, singer, dancer and producer Justin Timberlake has been sentenced in a New York state court on drunk driving charges, AP reports.
The artist was previously temporarily deprived of his driving license.
The court sentenced him to 25 hours of community service at a nonprofit organization of his choice, as well as a $500 fine with a $260 surcharge.
“The court ordered him to make a public statement about the dangers of drunk driving.” – says the publication.
Timberlake fully admitted his guilt.
As reported EADailyThe 43-year-old artist was arrested on the night of Saturday, June 15. According to the preliminary version, he was driving while intoxicated.
According to court documents, Timberlake was arrested with “red, glassy eyes” and a strong odor of alcohol. The singer himself claimed he drank a martini glass during dinner.
The singer refused to take a breathalyzer test during his arrest.
His driving license was subsequently revoked. The length of the ban was not specified.
