Immigrant children in Russia can be denied admission to schools without proof of Russian language proficiency. The corresponding bill will be presented to the Lower House of Parliament for discussion.
Oku.AzAccording to TASS, this was reported by the Chairman of the State Duma, Vyacheslav Volodin.
According to him, the issue will also be reflected in the draft decision that the State Duma plans to discuss at the plenary session on November 20.
“During the admission of children of immigrants to schools, we propose to check the legality of their stay on the territory of Russia, pass mandatory Russian language tests, and also prohibit their admission to general educational institutions without confirmation of their knowledge of the Russian language , in this regard a bill on the corresponding issue will be presented,” said Volodin.
The chairman of the State Duma stressed that proposals will be prepared on labor migration and families arriving with immigrants.
“These will be sent to the government within the framework of the decision. We will propose to develop complex solutions within the powers of the competent authorities,” added the speaker of the State Duma.
