The Agency for Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics (BMKG) attracted residents to be aware of high waves in the waters of the island in the north of Sulawesi.
“BMKG released a high excitement early warning until April 21, 2025,” said BMKG observation and information coordinator at the BITNG Dricky Maritime Station Meteorological Station.
He explained, in general, the wind blew from the northeast at a speed of four to 30 knots.
The highest wind speed may occur in the northern waters of the regenachism of the islands of Sangikha and on the islands -steers that may affect the increase in the heights of the waves in the region.
“The wave height between 1.25-2.5 meters (Wednesday) has the opportunity to occur in the waters of the regency of the island of Talou and in the waters of the regency of the islands of Sangikha,” he said.

It is expected that the fishing boat will pay attention to the wind speed of more than 15 knots and a wave height above 1.25 meters.
“The barge should pay attention to the wind speed of more than 16 knots and a wave height above 1.5 meters,” he said.
Meanwhile, the ferry knows about the wind speed of more than 21 knots and a wave height above 2.5 meters, and large ships, such as cargo boats/cruise vessels, pay attention to the wind speed of more than 27 knots and a wave height above 4.0 meters.
