“President of Kazakhstan Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev welcomes your initiative regarding the Caspian Sea.”
The “Report” reports that this was stated by the President of Kazakhstan, Kasim-Jomart Tokayev, in his national statement at the COP29 Leaders’ Summit held in Baku.
“The largest lake in the world is in danger. This is a cause for concern and requires long-term international cooperation. We welcome and support the initiative of the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, on the Caspian, to create a group of scientists and experts of the Caspian countries to study the problem and find solutions,” said the Head of State of Kazakhstan.
He also added that Kazakhstan will spare no effort to save the Aral Sea.
According to the president of Kazakhstan, natural disasters in the form of major floods have also not bypassed his country. To prevent such incidents in the future, Kazakhstan will provide a multi-level response and rescue system.
