La Sagra Original, Cerveza La Sagra’s star reference, has been chosen as the best beer in the world in its category at the World Beer Awards 2024one of the most prestigious global competitions in the sector, reclaiming the throne it also occupied in 2022.
More specifically, the reference received the Gold medal in the Czech Pale Style category at the world and national levelalso being named the best beer in Spain in this category, according to the company in a press release.

For the second time, we are the best beer in the world in our category and, for the third consecutive year, the best in Spain. In addition to the awards at the World Beer Awards 2024, La Sagra Original has reaffirmed its position as one of the best beers in the world thanks to the exceptional recognitions obtained in other competitions.
At the European Beer Challenge 2024, La Sagra Original won the gold medal in the Bohemian Pilsner categoryreaffirming its excellence in one of the most traditional segments appreciated by consumers around the world.
For its part, at the Frankfurt International Trophy 2024, La Sagra Original won another gold medal, this time in the International-Style Pilsener category. And finally, the brewery’s star reference also received silver at the International Beer Challenge in the lager category.
So far this year, the Toledo brewery has added 12 new awards. A figure that matches those achieved in previous years. In addition to the 6 obtained by La Sagra Original, the brewery’s most awarded beer, other references from the essential range, which brings together the most representative references of the brand, have also obtained international recognition.
For his part, The Sagra Double Maltaknown for its robust character and complexity, won the Silver Medal in the Seasonal: Oktoberfestbier/Märzen category at the World Beer Awards 2024 and a Double Gold Medal in the Oktoberfest/Märzen category at the European Beer Challenge 2024,
The Saint Radler It was also awarded the Bronze Medal in the Fruit and Vegetable category at the World Beer Awards 2024; a Double Gold Medal in the Fruit Beer category at the European Beer Challenge 2024; and a Gold Medal in the Blond Ale, Golden Ale category at the Frankfurt International Trophy 2024.
