In her first interview as a Democratic candidate, Kamala Harris expressed concern about the ongoing war in the Gaza Strip. Too many innocent Palestinian Arabs have died in this war, she said.

“Too many innocent Palestinians have been killed,” Harris said.
On the issue of arms supplies to Israel, Harris stressed her commitment to defending Israel, adding that her position on this issue remains unchanged. She also recalled the need to reach an agreement that would allow for the release of hostages and a ceasefire, stressing that the solution to the war could be a two-state solution in which both Israelis and Palestinians would feel safe, maintaining their dignity and freedom.
Harris also noted that if she were to become president, she would renew efforts to pass immigration legislation. At the same time, she denied rumors about a possible ban on oil production and stressed that such measures are not in her plans.
Kamala Harris also noted that if she wins the election, she is open to including Republicans in her administration. She says it is important to have people with different viewpoints at the table and believes it would be helpful to include members of the Republican Party.
Harris also shared details of a recent conversation with Joe Biden in which she informed him of her decision to resign. She said that during this conversation she was harvesting and upon hearing the news, she asked Biden if he was sure about his decision, to which he replied affirmatively, adding that he intended to support her. Harris noted that her first thought then was not about herself, but about Biden.

The poll showed strong support for Harris among women and Hispanic voters.
