The City Council of Torrijos (Toledo) will request the financial collaboration of the Provincial Delegation of Toledo, the Council of Communities of Castile-La Mancha and the Spanish Government to improve the sports facilities of the city, giving priority to the “San Francisco.” , the “Las Colonias” sports complex, the municipal summer swimming pool, the Parque de Aspe sports complex, where the tennis courts are located, and the municipal sports pavilion, which houses the paddle tennis courts.

This will be so after, during the ordinary plenary session on Thursday, the motion proposed, initially, by the Popular Party and, later, also by VOX, was unanimously approved, which was incorporated into the text of said motion before being voted on. by tabling an amendment. Finally, The motion was adopted with the favorable votes of the PP, PSOE and VO.x.

In addition, the green light was unanimously given to the collaboration agreement between the Ministry of the Interior, the Secretary of State for Security, the General Directorate of Police and the Town Hall of Torrijos for the installation of a electronic identity update station at the palace of Peter I.

During the same session, a budget modification of 197,210.10 euros was also approved. In the form of extraordinary credits, 107,210.10 euros are allocated for pay off the debtwith the full repayment of two loans; and, on the other hand, in the form of additional credit, 90,000 euros are allocated to electricity, postal and IT expenses. All this is possible thanks to the existence of a rcash of 854,382.74 euros. This measure was approved with votes in favor of the PP and VOX and the abstention of the PSOE.

Finally, the PSOE presented a motion for the resumption of activities of the municipal library and the study room, requesting activities to stimulate reading which, according to the municipal government, are already carried out, as well as the resumption of the reading club and opening of the study room on Sunday mornings which, as the local executive explained, were only temporarily interrupted for reasons of staff reorganization. The motion was approved with votes in favor of the PSOE, abstentions from the PP and votes against from VOX.
