The State General Directorate of Traffic issued an appeal to pedestrians.
from the office Oku.AzAccording to the report, the request reads:
“The reduction in the number of pedestrian accidents directly depends on the formation of a sense of personal responsibility among both drivers and pedestrians.
During the week that began, 9 pedestrian accident incidents were recorded, resulting in the loss of 6 people and 3 injuries.
Undoubtedly, factors such as road lighting and the convenience and accessibility of road infrastructure for pedestrians also play a role in the formation of this result. However, the fact that pedestrians, who are the most vulnerable road users, rely more on the responsibility of drivers in the dark hours of the day or in conditions of limited visibility, cross places where the road is not intended, suddenly enter the road, and prefer to walk on the road when there are sidewalks and pedestrian crossings, showing in words an obvious disregard for their life and health leads to bitter consequences in the end.
The State General Directorate of Traffic is making a new appeal to pedestrians, urging them to accept traffic regulations as a vital rule and not to forget the sense of personal responsibility while driving.
