A tragedy occurred in Thailand. More than 20 children died as a result of the sudden fire on the school bus returning from the field trip.
Oku.AzAccording to information provided by “Daily Mail”, 38 students and six teachers were traveling in the vehicle.
It is reported that the cause of the tragedy may be the explosion of the front tire of the bus. As a result, the vehicle lost control and collided with a metal barrier on the side of the road. As a result of the collision, a fire started which soon covered the entire part of the bus. According to the lifeguard working at the scene, the fuel tanks caught fire as a result of the collision.
All students were third graders (between 9 and 10 years old).
Rescuers said they rescued 19 people, but the exact death toll is unknown. Most of the rescued passengers suffered serious burns.
Firefighters had to wait a while until the bus cooled down, after which they began searching for bodies. It is assumed that 25 passengers on the bus died.
