Early this morning, a train carrying dangerous goods, including argon gas, derailed at the Matillas station (Guadalajara). The Castilla-La Mancha 112 service received the notice at 6:20 a.m.

It was necessary to cut off the road in both directions as well as the provincial road GU-157 due to the presence of the remains of the accident convoy, as reported by Service 112. According to initial data, there were no personal injuries and the wagons carrying argon did not appear to have been affected.

The Civil Guard and firefighters from Sigüenza Park went to the scene. A support ambulance was also put into service, the intervention of which was not necessary.

According to data from Adif, traffic between the municipalities of Baides and Matillas on the Madrid-Grisén conventional gauge line is interrupted, due to the departure of several axles of a freight train.

An alternative transport plan has been established with road transfers between Jadraque and Sigüenza.
