Transport cuts traffic on A7 near Balanegra indefinitely due to heavy rain

The A7 motorway which passes through the town of Balanegra in Almeria will remain closed to traffic from 10 p.m. this Monday due to the heavy rains recorded in the afternoon of this Monday. The Minister of Transport and Sustainable Mobility, Óscar Puente, explained in his official account on the social network “X” that the storm “caused the collapse of a drainage pipe” on the aforementioned highway.

He thus indicated that “for security reasons, we must cut off in the Balanegra area until we check its condition well“. In this way, it has indicated alternative routes for light and heavy vehicles through links 823 and 838 of this highway.

As published by the Ministry of Transport, the heavy rains this afternoon weakened a corrugated iron tube on the A7 as it passes Balanegra.
