US President-elect Donald Trump wants to appoint economist and Fox Business host Larry Kudlow to a high-ranking position in the field of economics and finance, The Wall Street Journal (WSJ) reports, citing sources.
Trump advisers considered Kudlow to head the National Economic Council, which he held during Trump’s first term, and “possibly to head the Treasury Department.”
According to Reuters, Kudlow was offered to return to his previous position, but he declined.
The agency’s materials said Kudlow, 77, has no plans to leave his broadcast job and recently signed a new contract to continue hosting his eponymous show on Fox Business.
