US President-elect Donald Trump wants to resolve the conflict in the Gaza Strip before his inauguration on January 20.

According to him, Trump wants an agreement on the ceasefire and the release of the hostages in the enclave to be reached as soon as possible, ideally before his return to the White House. “Trump is more determined than ever to free the hostages and supports the ceasefire agreement to include the hostage agreement. He wants that to happen now,” the senator said, adding that Trump wants an end to the killing and fighting .

Graham also expressed hope that the current US administration will cooperate with Trump on the Middle East ceasefire issue. “I hope that President Trump and the administration of (current US President Joe) Biden will work together to release the hostages and achieve a ceasefire during the transition period,” he said.

During the election campaign, Trump declared that if he wins, he will be able to stop the chaos in the Middle East. The politician also noted that such an escalation in the region would not have been possible if he had been in charge of the US administration.
