US President Donald Trump arrived in Akoreida, Alaska after he put one on a seven -hour flight from Washington on a “one” aircraft.
Trump arrived at the common Elmandorf Richardson, the chosen section of the long -awaited meeting, shortly before the aircraft of Russian colleague Vladimir Putin landed.
The basis was a once important US military asset, which was instructed to control the Soviet Union during the Cold War, and rarely accepts non -literary visitors, not to mention two active presidents.
The arrival of Putin
Putin arrived at a meeting with a high risk with Trump after landing a Russian presidential aircraft for about nine hours from the capital of Moscow.
The Russian leader brought on his journey several high -ranking officials, including Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and his leading foreign policy adviser Yuri Usakov.
They are part of a coordinated escort with Trump, also accompanied by US Secretary of State Marco Rubio and a special envoy to Steve Whitkov.
Handshake
Both leaders landed at the same time from their planes and headed for the red carpets, which were placed in the middle, before the final route leading to a small stage called “Alaska 2025”.
Trump, who had the shortest distance from the plane, arrived at the meeting point on the red carpet where he was waiting for Putin. The US president portrayed, smiling that Putin was approaching at a distance, and even offered him three small pounds of applause before the meeting.
Trump warmly welcomed Putin – despite the typical handshake of the “pull and pull” style – he hit his colleague several times before he turned to the cameras for the first short photo.
Then the couple went to the stage, where they posed for a few more photos, since the American media on the site launched their questions. Then they both drove into Trump’s presidential vehicle – with the code name “Beast” – where they were depicted when they shared smiles when they were led together at the top.
Closed
Then the leaders entered the base zone, where their delegations met with them.
Media employees drove into the room for some time to take a picture before the leaders begin their discussions.
The discussions lasted about two and a half hours, and although there was no significant discovery, Putin and Trump said that they agreed to a common language in which it was possible to create a possible peaceful course.
Both described their meeting as very constructive and good.
Press conference
Then the two presidents turned to the media for a joint press conference for less than 15 minutes, where they proposed a brief statement of their conversations, but ultimately refused to answer questions.
Then they agreed that in the coming weeks it took more negotiations to use the impulse created at the Alaska summit, and President Putin (speaking in English), offering Moscow as the place of their next meeting.
Trump laughed, saying: “Oh, it’s interesting, I don’t know, they will push me a little, but I see that it happened.”
