US President-elect Donald Trump has nominated former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee to serve as ambassador to Israel. According to NBC News, Trump said this on the social network Truth Social.

“(Huckabee) loves Israel and the people of Israel, and the people of Israel love him. “Mike will work tirelessly to bring peace to the Middle East!” – wrote the politician.

The Republican Jewish Coalition noted that Huckabee’s appointment “will strengthen the relationship between the United States and Israel.”

Previously, Trump spoke about the nominations for Secretary of State and National Security Advisor. It was decided to appoint a senator as head of the State Department marcorubioand the national security advisor is a congressman from Florida Mike Waltz.
